Debbie Seagraves

Executive Director

Debbie Seagraves is the Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia and was formerly the Southeast Regional Director of 9to5, National Association of Working Women. She was a founding member of the Appalachian Women’s Alliance and the first editor of the Mountain Women’s Journal, a collection of original writings of Appalachian women. She also served on the board of the Appalachian People’s Service Organization and as volunteer trainer for Cherokee Family Violence Center. Presently, Debbie has served on the steering committee of Georgia Rural Urban Summit and as President of Georgians for Choice. She is also a part of the Southern Organizing Committee for the People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond, a nationwide network of anti-racist trainers and organizers.
