ATLANTA – “On January 5, voters spoke out loudly and clearly in Georgia for racial justice, voter rights and our democracy.  In an affirmation and celebration of our democracy, 4.3 million Georgia citizens turned out once again in the midst of a pandemic to make their voices heard. By their actions, voters in Georgia rebuked the forces of white supremacy, violence, and insurrection that we saw take the Confederate Battle Flag into the U.S. Capitol on January 6th,” said Andrea Young, executive director of the ACLU of Georgia.
