Ana Maria Rosato joined the ACLU of Georgia as its Communications Director in August 2017. Rosato possesses a broad background having worked with non-profit organizations, progressive campaigns, high tech corporations, and elected officials at the local, state, and federal government levels. A native of the Greater New Orleans area, she most recently worked as a communications consultant advising the Mississippi Association of Educators and several members of the Mississippi state legislature. She previously served as Communications Director for Congressman Gene Taylor of Mississippi and spokesperson for Mississippians for Healthy Families.
Rosato also has extensive experience in grassroots campaigns and activism that included managing and consulting on local and state campaigns in Mississippi and California. Earlier in her career, she served as the legislative liaison for the Tennessee Association of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, performance auditor with the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury and San Francisco Budget and Legislative Analyst Office, and marketing manager with two international high tech corporations.
