The Henry County Police Department is on notice from the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia that its Facebook page policies may be considered unconstitutional censorship.

ACLU of Georgia Legal Director Sean J. Young sent a letter dated Dec. 18 to the former chief, Keith Nichols, and copied to county Chair June Wood.
“Our democracy thrives when people can freely criticize elected officials, including the governmental entities that they are charged with overseeing, such as the Henry County Police Department,” Young said in the letter.
