  • Georgia’s new restrictive abortion law the LIFE Act, which prohibits abortion as soon as cardiac activity is detected, is the subject of a new lawsuit, which was filed late last month. The federal suit was filed by lawyers with the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood and the Center for Reproductive Rights on behalf of abortion providers and women’s health advocacy organizations. Andrea Young, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia and Sean Young, legal director of the ACLU of Georgia, join Closer Look to discuss why they say the new law is unconstitutional
