The ACLU of Georgia is hosting a Civil Liberties State Legislative Town hall with candidates for House Districts 35, 43, and 45. During this town hall, the public will have an opportunity to hear from candidates who will be on the ballot. All candidates who will be on the November 3rd ballot for these House Districts were invited to participate in this nonpartisan town hall.

The ACLU of Georgia has been working with coalition partners on the ground to pressure the county district attorney and other agencies to investigate the more than 40 deaths that have occurred under the tenure of the current sheriff. The affiliate is conducting a robust campaign to contact county voters to provide information regarding candidates for sheriff and local state legislative races via mail, phone banking, texts, email, and social media.
