The ACLU works daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution of the United States guarantees. In doing so, we have found that these are the key issues that present the main challenges to those Consitutional rights. These issue pop up through legislation, legal proceedings, etc. The ACLU of Georgia must focus intently on these issues to guarantee that our mission, advancing the cause of civil liberties, can be fulfilled. This does not necessarily mean though that the ACLU of Georgia will litigate every issue. Unfortunately, we have limited resources and cannot pursue every complaint that may have merit. We are continuously monitoring each issue though. In doing so, we seek to protect our community and strengthen our individual rights.
