ATLANTA – On Saturday, March 28, Georgia residents will again mobilize against President Trump’s escalating abuse of power at No Kings protests. The peaceful rallies and events build off momentum from October’s nationwide day-of-action, which saw more than 7 million people take to the streets to condemn the Trump administration’s attacks on our communities. More than 3,000 events are set to take place in all 50 states, with dozens of events in Georgia alone.

Since October’s successful protests, we’ve seen the Trump administration take shocking actions, including deploying federal agents and troops to American cities, sending masked agents to arrest people without due process and deporting them to torture prisons thousands of miles away, and escalated attacks on communities, including when armed agents killed Americans documenting government abuses.

In Georgia, we’ve seen an Emmy-award winning journalist deported in retaliation for his work. ICE has held people for prolonged periods under inhumane and unconstitutional conditions. The FBI raided an elections office and seized private voter data as part of Trump’s campaign to challenge the 2020 election results, change election procedures, and remove voters from the rolls in 2026. The people of Georgia will turn out on March 28 to reject these attacks on our freedom.

The ACLU has sued the Trump administration to hold it accountable for violating the rights of the American people and has mobilized nationwide to protect our democracy. We have worked relentlessly against the administration’s abuses of power, defending free speech, protecting access to health care and reproductive rights, and blocking some of the worst immigration tactics taken by any administration. Across the country, millions of ACLU supporters have shown up at Know Your Rights trainings, contacted members of Congress, or asked state and local officials to defend our rights.
