2025 Atlanta City Council Candidate Questionnaire

We asked the Atlanta City Council candidates where they stand on important civil liberties issues so you can be an informed voter.

ALL 15 ATLANTA CITY COUNCIL SEATS ARE UP FOR ELECTION.

The City’s policy-making authority is given to a governing council (City Council) consisting of fifteen members. The City Council’s primary responsibilities are adopting ordinances, adopting the budget, and setting policy for the City. Working hand in hand with Atlanta’s Mayor and the members of the executive branch, the council plays a key role in the budget process and financial well-being of Atlanta. Districts 1 through 12 are up for election, as well as 3 at-large posts.

Early voting is from 10/14 through 10/31. Last day to vote is Nov. 4.


This questionnaire is designed to understand the perspectives of candidates for Atlanta City Council on a range of issues that affect residents of our city, including speech, privacy, criminal legal reform, and immigration.
