Bio

As a Development Officer, Nicole Berman works with donors and funders across Georgia to advance the mission and priorities of the ACLU. She started her social justice career as a canvass director for the NY Public Interest Research Group, leading the local campaign for a ban on fracking. She spent several years with the American Diabetes Association growing their premier fundraising event and specialized in major gifts and corporate partnerships. Prior to joining the ACLU of Georgia, Nicole served as a director of development at Georgia Southern University and at Healthy Savannah. Nicole is past president of the Coastal Georgia chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. An alumna of the University of Rochester, she and her husband live in Savannah with their cat, Rufio.
