The ACLU of Georgia is recruiting for our Capitol Observer Program, where volunteers sign up to observe legislative meetings and activities. Georgia is heading into the last weeks of our legislative session, which ends on March 28, 2024, and our goal is to have Capitol Observers every day in the last weeks of the session.
You do not have to train again if you have already trained to become a legal observer in the last two years.
UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES
We are in need of observers starting February 20th through March 28th (the end of the legislative season). If you are available to observe on any of these days from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. sign up here
FEB. 20 - ONLINE OBSERVER TRAINING
If you have yet to train and would like to observe, we will have an online training Tuesday, February 20th from 7:00 - 8:00pm. Sign up here
FEB. 29 - CROSSOVER DAY
We need special coverage on crossover day Thursday, February 29th and we would like full observer coverage from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. Shifts will be in 3-hour increments. Sign up here
