LEGAL INTERNSHIP

APPLICATIONS FOR THE LEGAL INTERNSHIP SUMMER 2026 TERM ARE NOW OPEN!

The ACLU of Georgia welcomes legal interns for summer. Legal interns must be in law school. The summer legal internship is full time, with interns expected to commit approximately 40 hours per week.

Legal interns will be expected to perform legal research, draft legal memos and other writing, and be otherwise available to support the ACLU of Georgia’s litigation activities. The internship is designed for those who are interested in pursuing a career in public interest litigation. Applicants should have strong research, writing, and communication skills and a demonstrated interest in civil liberties and civil rights.

To apply, please email your resume and cover letter highlighting your interest in this internship to Rackaya Haughton at [email protected], with the subject line 'Summer Intern Application.' Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.

LEGISLATIVE SESSION 2026 FELLOWSHIP

The ACLU of Georgia is seeking Legislative Fellows for the 2026 legislative session to help advance civil liberties and rights across the state. This is a full-time, in-person position (40 hours per week) with flexibility for limited remote work. Fellows will receive compensation ranging from $15 to $20 per hour, depending on experience and education, or may choose to receive academic credit instead.

We’re looking for people who live and breathe policy — individuals who are curious about how laws are made, how they impact communities, and how strategy turns into change. Fellows should be detail-oriented thinkers who can translate complex issues into clear, actionable insights.

The fellowship is open to career professionals with experience in policy, advocacy, or governmental affairs; and exceptional undergraduate upperclassmen, graduate students, law students, with relevant experience or coursework in political science, public policy, or law.

The application deadline is November 14, 2025.

If you have any questions about the internship program, contact Brittany Bromfield.
