Gathering honored decades of defending civil rights and civil liberties in Georgia

We’re honored that so many people joined us for our 60th Anniversary Celebration on September 28, 2023. We awarded SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective, Bondurant Mixson & Elmore, and Caplan Cobb for their dedication to reproductive justice; Bishop Reginald Jackson & the Sixth District African Methodist Episcopal Church were recognized for their work on voting rights. Civil Rights icon Andrew Young received our inaugural Democracy Award for his decades of work protecting voter rights in Georgia. We closed the night with a conversation between W. Kamau Bell, comedian, TV host, and ACLU ambassador for social justice, and Young.

Thank you to everyone who supported our event.
