This week, we remember Dr. Martin Luther King. During his life, Dr. King gave voice to a vision of an America without racism, war, or poverty—and went on to embrace that vision for all the people of the world. As Dr. King wrote in his Letter from the Birmingham Jail, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.” Dr. King would have us come together in a Beloved Community.
