Banned Books Week is October 5-11! Join the ACLU of Georgia as we highlight the stories and authors that legislators and special interest groups are working hard to silence. As part of a larger agenda to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion, book bans and literary censorship run rampant in Georgia. Don't miss this special opportunity to celebrate literature that unifies and humanizes us all! Join us at the Atlanta Pride Festival, Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12! Stop by our tent, pick up some swag and learn about getting involved in the fight for civil liberties in Georgia. The ACLU of Georgia's partner, Indivisible Georgia Coalition, is hosting a medic training in preparation for the nationwide day of peaceful protests on Saturday, October 18. Experienced medical professionals will conduct the training to ensure protesters are kept safe and healthy during the events. The coalition is requesting all medics — even experienced professionals — receive at least some training before volunteering. The training does not require you to volunteer for the October 18 event.
