ACLU of Georgia Board member Monica Helms is among LGBTQ+ Atlantans featured in “Out Down South,” an exhibit at the National Center for Civil & Human Rights in Atlanta.

Helms is a transgender activist, veteran and creator of the trans pride flag. She is also co-founder of the Transgender American Veterans Association.

NCCHR describes the exhibit as featuring portraits and oral histories of Helms and others who “have made an indelible contribution to this city.”
