Thank you to all of our supporters, partners, and the local leaders who showed up this past weekend, in person and virtually, for the ACLU of Georgia’s 2025 Annual Membership Meeting, “Dissent. Defend. Demand.” Together, we rallied with nearly 200 people statewide to push back against extremist lawmakers’ attempts to seize power and harm our communities. Executive Director Andrea Young shared some big victories from last year and encouraged everyone to stay involved moving forward. Ryan Jones, Atlanta-based spoken-word artist and attorney, delivered a powerful performance that drew a standing ovation. Our attorneys and policy experts detailed their work, from ongoing lawsuits to new initiatives like Protest Ready GA and Protect Our Privacy: Community Control over Police Surveillance in Atlanta, and we’re grateful the audience jumped in with questions, fueling important conversations about the future of our state.

Take a look at some photos from the event below. Thanks again to everyone who attended; we’re encouraged to join you in taking action in the months ahead. Visit acluga.org/act to step up.
