Bio
Akiva Freidlin (he/him) is a Senior Staff Attorney at the ACLU of Georgia. He works on litigation to reverse injustices in the criminal legal system, secure the right to vote, and protect other civil rights.
Previously in Georgia, he was an attorney at the Georgia Resource Center, where he represented death-sentenced people seeking to challenge their unjust convictions and sentences. Before that, he was a lawyer at the Southern Center for Human Rights, where he worked to prevent the incarceration of people who cannot afford to pay money bail or exploitative fines and fees. He is a graduate of Hampshire College and Stanford Law School.
