Bio

Sarah Hunt-Blackwell (she/her) is the First Amendment Policy Counsel at the ACLU of Georgia. A former public relations professional, Sarah is a champion of free expression with expertise in strategic communications and First Amendment litigation. As the First Amendment Policy Counsel, Sarah challenges state-sponsored legislation that violates First Amendment protections of speech, protest and religious expression. She also monitors and engages First Amendment infringements across the state, expands public knowledge of First Amendment principles, and leads ACLU of Georgia’s statewide First Amendment partner coalition. Sarah received her J.D. from Tulane University Law School and her B.A. in Communication Studies from Vanderbilt University.
