Bio

Sarah Hunt-Blackwell, Esq., is a servant leader, advocate, strategist and change agent with a pointed commitment to defending civil and human rights. Sarah is currently the senior policy counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Georgia. A trusted legal and policy leader, Sarah advocates to protect vulnerable communities and uphold fundamental rights, particularly in the First Amendment space. Her work also focuses on criminal legal reform, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive freedom and voter access. She is a consistent and effective lobbyist at the state capitol where she works in close coordination with coalitions, policymakers, and advocacy groups. In addition to her legislative impact, Sarah maintains a steady grassroots presence in communities throughout Georgia. Pairing strategic insight with a collaborative mindset, Sarah executes strategies and builds relationships that lead to durable, meaningful change.
