As a fundraiser for more than 10 years, Nicole Berman has worked to advance the missions of local, state, and national nonprofits. She enjoys working to match donors' interests with the needs of the organization. Originally from Rochester, NY, she started her career as a canvass director for the NY Public Interest Research Group, leading a local campaign for a statewide ban on fracking. She spent several years with the American Diabetes Association leading their premier fundraising event and specialized in major gifts and corporate partnerships. Before joining the ACLU of Georgia, Nicole served as a director of development at Georgia Southern University. Nicole is president of the Coastal Georgia chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She, her husband, and cat Finnegan live in Savannah.
