ATLANTA – The ACLU of Georgia sent a demand letter to the Cobb County Board of Elections and Registration regarding the mass challenges to voter eligibility of 16,024 Georgia voters 18 days before the January 5, 2021 runoff election.

“Disenfranchising thousands of voters on the eve of an election based on yet another conspiracy theory is wrong and violates federal law,” said Sean J. Young, legal director of the ACLU of Georgia. “Georgia election officials must protect and defend the fundamental right to vote.”
