ATLANTA – This morning, the Georgia Secretary of State held a press conference in which he expressed "support of an amendment to the Georgia constitution limiting participation in state and local elections to American citizens."
“It is already the law that only U.S. citizens can vote in Georgia,” stated Christopher Bruce, policy director for the ACLU of Georgia. “It is irresponsible to perpetuate falsehoods about the integrity of elections in Georgia and undermines confidence in our democracy."
