ATLANTA – The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Fulton County decided to “reduce the number of polling places, hours and days for early voting” as a cost-cutting measure.
“Elections are the wrong place to cut budgets. Democracy does not come at a discount. Legitimacy and accountability of our elected officials requires a fair opportunity for citizens to cast a ballot,” said Andrea Young, executive director of the ACLU of Georgia.
