Policy Director of ACLU Georgia Discusses Redistricting in Georgia

Christopher Bruce, the policy director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Georgia, says Georgians are concerned about their voices being heard and the Georgia General Assembly must get it right.

Bruce was a guest on Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look” talked with program host Rose Scott about Georiga lawmakers participating in a special legislative session to redraw maps for Georgia’s congressional and legislative districts and what it could mean for Georgia voters.

“Redrawing these lines, literally, dictates how elections will go in the future going forward on a local level as well as statewide politics,” explained Bruce.

During the conversation, Bruce further explained how the ACLU is working with other organizations and Georgians to spread the word about the redistricting maps.
